Gil SandersHi, my name is Gilbert Sandler, everyone calls me Gil. I was certified many, many years ago; but due to job locations and family I wasn’t able to dive as frequently as I would have liked. I have been an avid Abalone Diver for several years and wanted to do more scuba diving since I have more time to enjoy the sport now. I stopped in at Aqua Divers and found the shop to be very friendly and helpful and they enabled me to advance my diving skills and training level. The SSI training format allowed me to follow my interests in Deep, Night, Navigation, Altitude, Computer and Boat diving. I also enrolled in the Stress & Rescue dive course to make myself a more comfortable diver and improve my skills. After that was the most logical step for me to take the Dive Control Specialist course and help with Open Water dive classes. I enjoy working with the students and helping them along the same path that I undertook. It is a whole different world underwater. I have also started training in the Technical diving course with Steve here at Aqua Divers. There is so much information to read and learn about. That is what is so interesting about diving, there is always something new to learn. The Aquarius Dive Club has also been a plus for me and my family. The club members are great and we have tons of fun together on our outings. The dive club gives you the familiarity and comfort level of diving with other divers that you know; so you always have a buddy. We are always diving in a new location every month, and have a seminar at every meeting so you can continue to learn. I am looking forward to meeting you in one of Aqua Divers Open Water courses or Continued Educational courses and lets go diving!!! |
